Prices and Facilities
Prices in Ukrainian real estate market have been growing since the first days of Ukraine's independence. Today, the market has been formed in general, and the growth has stabilized. Prices for apartments and houses are close to those in Western Europe today, and they seem to be far above the buying capacity of average Ukrainians.
At the same time, interest of foreign buyers to purchasing apartments and houses in Ukraine is growing. In some areas like Crimea, the Carpathians, as well as along the coastal zone of the Black Sea and the Azov sea, prices for apartments and houses are very attractive to foreign buyers from Western countries, and more and more homes are purchased by foreigners each year.
Purchasing apartments and houses
Today, many local banks offer loans for residential real estate; this is a good solution for some part of population. The mechanism of giving loans is being formed, and one needs to study the specifics of Ukrainian legislation and the policy of particular bank.
Prices of renting on per day or on per month basis
Many real estate companies and hotels request a deposit to be made beforehand, to make sure that they don't lose the tenant. Some hotels request a non-refundable fee for advance reservation, plus a deposit for the first day of stay. Apartment owners may set unfriendly payment conditions, too, but negotiation is possible with all apartment owners, which cannot be done with hotel administrations.
Regional pricing specifics
Prices for apartments and houses in Ukraine differ depending on the region. In Kiev (the capital), as well as in Crimea (the subtropical coastline area) the prices are much higher than in other areas. Costs for apartments and houses also differ in central cities and in the outskirts of cities.
